Oyo Assembly Lawmaker, Others Induct CIFIPN Professional Members In Abuja

As president, lawmaker call for accelerated passage of bill by Rep members

A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State Constituency, Honourable Afeez Adegbenga Adeleke, alongside over a 100 distinguished Nigerians have been inducted into Chartered Institute of Forensic and Investigative Auditors of Nigeria (CIFIPN) as professional members in Abuja.

Addressing them during the induction at the weekend, the CIFIPN Pro-tem President, Dr (Mrs) Enape Victoria Ayishetu urged them to be good ambassadors of the institute in their respective organisations and ensure that they jointly prevent fraud, corruption and cyber crimes in Nigeria with a view to stopping further loss of billions of Naira that have been recorded in the past five years.

According to her, the recorded fraud volume in Nigeria financial institution due to cybercrime increased drastically to about N25 billion in the past five years, and CIFIPN is worried about this evil development which is inimical to the development of any country, if nothing is done about it now, because the future generation will have nothing to fall back to.

She, therefore, called on the House of Representatives to disregard the antics of the enemy of Nigeria who has disguised self under the protection of Accounting profession which is not but just to continue preventing a country that belongs to all from experiencing deliverance from fraud, corruption and cybercrimes which have dwarfed the nation’s development over the years.
